Keep true to your dreams

A painting I had unfinished that I finished today.
I originally made it for my kitchen but the space was too narrow for it at the end.

So....happy for it to go to another kitchen to inspire another "lady of the house" to keep true to the dreams of her heart.

The magic tree

A magical tree, full of mystery and power is one of my most treasured  inner images. 

My trees and my characters are always changing but the story is still there.

I also have musical pieces of magical woods and trees, of doors in trees and of children or maids secretely communicating with old and wise  trees.

This time I had fun with my new tablet and lost myself in unusual colors that speak magic and wonder...

The imprisoned Princess

This unhappy princess has been imprisoned because of her forbidden love...

But love is stronger than her enemies and she continues to have faith in her good fate.

She knows that if she keeps true to her soul, the magic in her heart will

 work out a solution and one day she will be free.

I had a piece of wood from a broken kitchen unit and I decided to collage it completely before drawing and painting on it. I had an old score of Gregorian music and this inspired me to tell a medieval story...

Princess of Little Kingdom

This is the first of my fairy tale-like mixed media illustration on paper. Every time I go to the place of my heart (Monferrato, in lovely Piedmont where I live) I'm inspired with new magical feelings.
This time the warmth and color of summer took me to medieval times: lovely sweet hills with ancient castels, flowers and vineyards everywhere make me feel I've stepped back in time and I'm surrounded by magical beauty...
